Sharing ancestry with the Cherokee, I stand as a steward of the land and a protector of the wild.

I Love the animals — and I want to make it known that Indigenous peoples deserve a powerful voice in our world. They carry the wisdom, the Love, and the Virtue that create peace and harmony across the Earth.

They are the true kings and queens — those who cast aside crowns of gold for mud, moss, and leaves. Warriors bound to spirit, walking beside the elk, the eagle, and the wolf. All the animals of the Mother’s Kingdom.

But our eight-armed friends face rising tides of danger — plastic pollution, habitat loss, and warming seas are threatening their watery worlds. As coral reefs bleach and currents shift, their homes grow smaller, and their future uncertain.

Read Between the Lines 🦓🌍

Every stripe tells a story — of heat, dust, movement, and survival. To the eye, the zebra stands in contrast to its surroundings. To the predator, it vanishes in motion. The black-and-white rhythm of its coat bends the light of the savanna, confusing eyes that hunt and flies that bite. What appears as chaos is actually harmony — evolution’s poetry written in pattern.

Across Africa’s golden plains, herds move like brushstrokes across a living canvas. Mothers guide their young through tall grass and fading horizons. But fences, farms, and poachers now interrupt the melody of their migration — and the silence that follows is louder than any roar.

Reforesting with the Green Tree Python 🌍🐍

Deep within the Congo Basin, where sunlight drips through layers of green and the air hums with life, the Green Tree Python reigns as a quiet guardian of the canopy. Its scales — vibrant emerald streaked with ivory — are not just decoration; they are a masterpiece of evolution. Each pattern bends and scatters light, allowing the python to disappear into the lush rainforest tapestry that birthed it.

But even the most perfect camouflage can’t conceal what’s happening around it. As deforestation spreads across Africa’s tropical belts, from the Congo to West Africa’s remnants of rainforest, the Green Tree Python’s greatest strength becomes its weakness. Without the forest, its invisibility is lost — and so is the balance that sustains life.

At The World Tree Project, we see reforestation as restoration — not only of trees, but of identity, resilience, and hope. Sadly, their future is challenged by habitat loss, deforestation, and pesticides that reduce their food supply. Despite these threats, bee-eaters are remarkable for their cooperative lifestyles—entire colonies work together to raise the next generation, with females often helping relatives care for chicks. 💚

🐒🌿 Meet the Hamadryas baboon, a species full of intelligence, resilience, and family bonds. Found in the rocky cliffs and savannas of the Horn of Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, these primates live in highly organized social groups where every member plays a role.

🌳 Why they matter:

🌱 Mothers provide constant care, teaching their babies survival skills.

🦍 Males guard their harems and protect their troop from threats.

🍃 Young baboons play, learn, and prepare for the challenges of the wild.

🌍 But threats are rising: Climate change, habitat loss, and human expansion are making it harder for baboons to find food and water. Protecting their habitats is protecting biodiversity itself.

Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) is one of the most destructive legacies of mining—acidic, metal-laden water that contaminates rivers, soils, and entire ecosystems.

One natural ally in this fight is Sulfate-Reducing Bacteria (SRB). These microorganisms convert sulfates in AMD into hydrogen sulfide (H₂S). This reaction binds with dissolved metals (like iron), creating stable metal sulfides that settle out of the water. The result: cleaner, less toxic ecosystems and a pathway to restoring balance where mining has left scars.

Harnessing SRB in bioreactors, wetlands, and passive treatment systems shows us how biology can solve industrial problems—and how nature holds the blueprint for resilience and recovery.

The World Tree Project is committed to ending AMD. Our teams are hard at work simulating solutions and seeing how we can neutralize contamination.

Education in Africa has been in development for many years but progress is still very slow. The World Tree Project is very passionate about learning and we're looking for opportunities to create a regenerative model within African countries that can stimulate the economy and provide students with greater resources.

Our concept is quite simple. Create a discovery path for youth that evolves into direct application of specialized knowledge to a specific problem. We don't believe in grades nor age. We simply believe that the Child is closest to the source.

What if your Child could explore education with passion and genuine curiosity rather than following a curriculum that no longer has effectiveness? Well, simply put, their imagination and creativity would lead to intuition and innovation. Solutions!

As students identify problems and join together with common interests and passions, they'll begin to develop solutions that have real world impact and economic benefit. From medicine and technology, to media and fashion, this circular model stimulates growth across the continent.

The university takes a degrading scale of equity to recoup their resource expenditure, then the government will benefit from taxation and economic stimulation. This will in turn lead to pay raises and greater resources for educators.

If we live in the unity of Environment, Animals, Elders and Children, we'll be closer to the wellspring of answers and the solutions that restore our planet. Its not about harnessing the brilliance of Children and guiding them with the wisdom of the Elders so that we are able to create beautiful connections to the wildlife and become protectors of Earth.

While our system shows incredible promise, we’re actively working through the challenge of soil composition in arid climates, where water scarcity makes seeding especially difficult.

The potential impact is clear: once deployed effectively, SeedDrop has the ability to expedite reforestation efforts by nearly 40%. Our focus is not on financial return but on healing ecosystems, restoring biodiversity, and tackling the global climate crisis.

AMD (Acid Mine Drainage) is one of the most ecologically devastating problems facing our planet. Its destroyed entire nations from the inside out, contaminating groundwater and fragmenting the lands. In Africa its even more prevalent and one of the leading causes to climate change, water scarcity and the degradation of the environment.

Our team has partnered with a few labs in Fort Worth, Texas and have begun testing Ph levels using data from existing reports across Africa. While some nations have found means of raising these levels, we've yet to replicate a system for containment across the globe.

We'd Love to collaborate with those in Japan or the Middle East who have found logical means to stabilize the environment and implement these systems in Africa. While we aren't able to alleviate the environmental stress of mining entirely, we most certainly can create model for restoration.

The World Tree Project's main mission is to create this model and replicate it across Africa. By doing so, the opportunity for sustainable economic growth arises.
